Hi!,

Would anybody be aware of a small 3D viewer that I can package with a 3D model so then folks can download and view it?. Maybe as a single .exe?.

I've tried some of the 3D web viewers and even some 3D engines but they're way too big. Nobody wants to download a 10 meg viewer (or java, or the net framework) just to view a single 1 meg model!. I even considered making my own 3D viewer with something simple like Blitz3D or Purebasic as they make really small executables, but their 3D engines lack normal mapping.

and why aren't more people uploading their 3D models to the net for people to view in 3D?. Perhaps it's a lack of 3D viewers? or maybe a fear of their models being stolen?.

i don't know of a program off hand but i think this is why people do turntables and release them as videos, with most vid players you can scroll frame by frame to get a good view of the model.

After download the rar file. You can pack only the .exe file, delete others. The exe is about 4.6 MB
