Hello. I have started a new blog at Gnomonology that will cover the tutorials and assets uploaded by myself and industry luminaries such as Rick Baker, Jonas Thornqvist, Neville Page and others.
The most recent post highlights a tutorial uploaded by Neville Page that shows a fast and awesome way to create hair in Photoshop. This tutorial will be useful for many of use here at ZBrushCentral who do our final hair in Photoshop. Neville has also included the Photoshop brushes that he uses.
In the next posts, I will take a look at Jonas Thornqvist's digital sculpture of a Humanoid character. Jonas has also uploaded a 3DSMax scene file of the Troll lit, animated, rigged, textured and set to go if you want to learn how one of the masters of detailed and realistic rendering gets his job done!
Each post will try to give you enough information to get a sense of the tutorial and provide some context for both its intent and function.
