Playing around with some characters in my head. The head is modeled from a regualr sphere and the ears are one piece for a change. The eyes were painted in place on a separate layer and the teeth were separate and painted in place. Lots of alpha work, and I still have to give him a neck and hair...and of course a little story...thought I would share what I had so far with the forum..Thanx for viewing.
P.S. If anyone has a good alpha for making laugh lines and crow's feet I sure would appreciate it. It could be sent to catfishmn@aol.com
Thank you

Modeled on a more female head tonight and gave her a paintup...no texturing done yet...Thinking about Crenshaw's sister Aunt Katie

working on the theme with these models ...took the above model and redid her paint and tried some zif hair on her....a bit of helmet hair but I am still contemplating her final image....females are very hard to do compared to the male images imho. anyways..thanx for those who are taking a look at these...and as a good friend of mine says, "and those that don't comment, stay healthy". Very fine words for sure...

Wellll...I've been watching F/S... ;)
But I'm more interested in the finished 'Family Portrait'. Seems like this crowd would have an extensive, (and probably inbred), family structure... :tu:  :tu:
I like that hairstyle...It suits her, and when you finish the render, some detail painting and highlighter brushwork, could bring it together nicely...
(I'll even volunteer to model the frame for you... :D When you're ready, send me a BMP version of the family portrait, I'll model a suitably bizarrely ornamented Gilt frame, and send you back a framed version BMP...A little Deep South/Pacific Rainforest collaboration, hmmmm? :D  )

This is Scab's younger brother Pickit Crenshaw....I did something different on this head...I modeled the head using only a zsphere base. One root zif and two children...normally I model from only a regular 3d sphere. Thanks for viewing the Crenshaw clan here.

I agree with you about Modeling the female face being more challenging. I think you pulled it off well though...there's no mistaking the gender here, the only question remains...Is she a real readhead, or does she DIE? sorry.
