View Full Version : Help! Photoshop Layers?
Hello wipe here, again.
Does anyone know if it is possible to export a ZBrush document to Photoshop and still retain the layers. I have tried, and yet every time, all the layers are flattened to the background. It seems that it must be possible, or why give the option as well as a BMP?

good point wipe but i have always had the same problem. you would think you could but i would like to know how with you
In ZBrush the Layers works differently than Photoshop. I think they are "document layers". One layer, one document. More, layers in Zbrush are ordered by depth, NOT by number position.
When export an image, the layer are glued togheter preserving depth.
I hope that the future version of ZBrush can export a single layer as ZBR and BMP/PSD.
You can make many ZBR with single layer and try to export separately and then reassemble in Photoshop, but i don't know if this works.
Hope this help a little.
This is what i known, maybe other gurus can explain a method to achieve what you want.
