do it in a couple of layers maybe...and I agree with the fog statement...put some smoke on one layer and then the mountain and then the fog....might get better results and more depth...and try using different alpha brushes to make the cloud....looking good though...reminds me of the infamous mountain in the movie "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind".....keep us posted... :tu:

Try this...If the smoke around the mountain isn't on a seperate layer then make it so. Then use the MRGBZ grabber to grab the smoke image. convert it into an Alpha and use it as an alpha mask in the Fog setting of the Render pallette. Mess around with the settings and see what you get! ;)
i would do what mentat suggested but i cant have multiple fog settings so i cant add more fog. Heres an update. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1015549209drr.jpg

Sure you can! At least you can make it look like multiple settings. Just copy the layers you want to keep "renderable" and merge the others and bake them. Then you can use another fog setting on the unbaked layers. I am trying to remember how I did it so I may be unclear here...I will work it out and report back!
1: use the MRGBZ grabber to grab the smoke image Then Make ALPHA.
2: Simple Brush
3: Stroke DragRect1
4: Texture Reflect 2 and 3 and 4..
Walla a Fog Ring.
you might need to go to your DRAW Pallete to adjust the HEIGHT to spread the 3D Ring that supose to be the fog image a little to shape it more wider
Thanks Mentat, I totally forgot about bakiing the image so i could add more light settings and fog.
EZ, thanks for pointing that out. Every time i did it before, the smoke appeared in front of the mountain but if i just erase it, it will look fine.
Thanks again for both of your help.
do the setting like above but switch to 3D Depth Brush And Flat Material. Here Just a Sample not my best LOL
