I can tell you were going to town with all the various brushes on this one Ron! One suggestion- with the hair: If you turn up the Z depth and turn down the RGB when you draw it you will get a fairly good base density.. Then turn down the Z and turn up the RGB and draw over it. Turn the RGB up again and draw again to add lighter and lighter levels and ultimately hilights. Turn the gravity on the fibre brush to somewhere around -60 so it goes UP. That is how I usually approach a hairpiece ;) unless it's moving then I stomp all over it! :D

this head is really cool. I love the weird wrinkly things on the back of his neck. his beard looks great too.

Ron, this is pretty darn good! I like that deep green coloring. Overall, the modeling is some of the best you've done to date - way to go, my friend!
May I suggest a low level of specularity for the head itself, with a bit of "bump?" I usually muck about with one of the BasicMaterials. Add some Noise, drop the specularity down to 3, or 4. Play around with it. I think this image could be quite remarkable. :) :) :tu:  :tu:

if i can speak freely here i would change the material of the fiber brush to a flat material and back my layer to create hair.. but make no mistake about it i like your image..
