Hello Fellow Artisians,
As an admirer of many styles and Genres of the 3d world I propose that we establish this thread as a Swap Meet.
The purpose is establish a friendly area to post resources for fellow artisians to download in exchange for an item(s) of equal or greater value.
Since we all share in a wonderful fellowship of creation, I would anticipate that we all have areas of expertise for example;
Skin -- alphas
Claws of hooved animals, Horns of various types, tails, ears, eyes, Lips, etc...
Textures -- furs, skin, leather etc..
Material Creation
Image plane ready PSD animals, birds, characters etc.
I think you get the Idea. Let the swaps begin!:D
With the wonder of the morph comes the speed of the gift of Creation!

Uploading to mushroom's site seems like a good idea. The only alpha I've got is the horn from the Zclassroom tutorials, but I suppose it might be of some use to those that don't want to make it themselves. I can also probably throw together some skin textures.
Edit: I've uploaded the alpha to your site. The filename is kind of large, but I think to make this work, we'll have to be fairly precise on the filename, so people don't have to download a bunch of alphas they don't want to find they one they do.

I know, I have a big image library to share. 500 gigs and growing.
I envision something like this: you want to change a feature on a Character, look up the feature and wham get 50 top grade features to use as a morph target.
Claws, hooves, fish scales etc... they have a relatively similar way of being made. it would be nice to have a selection.

Ya got to poke around the PHP code today and see if I can tweek it a little.
the 2 meg upload thing is a pain but 2 megs looks like the most you can do through php without memory errors.
so bigger pictures must be
2megs
and
uploaded 1 at a time
I can also insert the pictures via FTP which is another option I'm looking at;)
BTW i moved it to
www.houseoftutorials.net/Zfleamarket (http://www.houseoftutorials.net/Zfleamarket)
http://www.houseoftutorials.net/Zfleamarket/zp-core/admin.php

had to uninstall the other beta scripts. This way it doesnt look like I missspelled flea;)
The BISON are sweet
keep uploading

cannedmushrooms,
Is there a way to create a storage for models, Docs, ZTLs etc... ?
cannedmushrooms
04-15-08, 09:22 PM
ZIP format only on them
And under 2 megs
The 2 meg limit is set down by my host through there PHP settings.
Usually I would edit the PHP.ini to get around this.
Problem is they don't allow access to it.
But ya just make an album and it should allow it to upload a zip

Hey medicine I'm doing a project right now where I need any hide you can get your hands on.
Deer / moose / Bandits (racoons)
If its fuzzy upload it.
If you need anything weird that you can think of in michigan as far as textures let me know.
I cannot believe more peeps arn't donating to this
Also in order for the alpha to work within Zbrush on the site you need to convert them to PSD

cannedmushrooms,
Check this link, http://www.fursource.com/fur-pelts-skins-c-77.html,
this one, http://www.kottlersafrica.com/products2/artifacts/zebraskins/index.htm,
and this one http://www.chichesterinc.com/
that should keep you in the fur awhile. I am still uploading to my server so my contributions may have to trickle in for a while.
Did you try ebay?

This is a great idea :tu: A shame about the size limitations though.
My Wife is a photographer and I have the same equipment. I could offer lots of texture and wildlife shots but the sizes average around 15 Mb. I guess it could be done with compressed .tif's split into multiple zip files.
Edited to say:
I misunderstood and what I had in mind would not work. Wrong file types and the file sizes would be too large. I could make up some low res references and some tile-able textures to add. I'll work on that. I've been wanting to set up a library of stuff anyway.
I've got to get off my dead butt and get some hard drives added to my new computer so I can get something done. I'm off to look for the drives, it is now my goal for the day. No work today and as my Wife says, I have "ants in my pants".

Canned Mushrooms is the man to answer that question, since he is the one that set up the server. I assume that you can but there is a 100 meg load limit.

Wow... part of the cool kids ehhhh. Good as long as I don't get called 'Ashley' or so...
Well, I uploaded the Loomis Books. A fantastic collection dedicated to the public domain by the Author in his last will. Our Super-Shroom has to move the contents to a better location on that server, but I am sure it will be a great resource for the community.
Thanks to Mr. Loomis wherever you are!

lemonnado,
That is a very generous thing you have done for us. Thank everyone for the materials. I still want to post Models and parts cannedmushrooms is there a way anyone?
cannedmushrooms
05-13-08, 01:09 PM
The parts must be Zipped
thats all that is required. But the cap of 2 megs will leave it very hard to open up the doors to models.
I really think base meshes might be a good thing for people to share.
It would be like a canvas;)
base meshes can be in obj format and then zipped.
Other than that, thats the only idea I have right now.
All php scripts have that 2 meg cap on them. Its a server side issue that my host won't bend on.
