Hi Southern, Fantastic piece of Art, that Nemesis-Guy. The teeth lookes really great!
IÕve just started with ZBrush, so when I first made eyecontact with this creature I came up with a (perhaps stupid but burning) question: How did you get the teeth into the mouthhole and the rings into the flesh... IÕm a little confused here; The head is made from a 3D sphere, also the teeth (I think). But ainÕt it so that when you created the head and after you created the teeth, how did you get them into the mouth? Cause I thought (-and I do a lot of that since I started ZBrush)) you where not able to return to the head in 3D mode (or did you...?)

i think he used the GYRO< i think thats the correct spelling for that..
to do that hit the letter W after you have your 3D object in there or zlt or obj ect ect.
in the floating menue make sure the box that says MOVE is highlited.
if your using the tools make sure your using a 3D object or it wont work,
you cant draw some THING just using alpha Brush and use the GYRO

Hi Livingstone,
You can use markers to remember all of an object's attributes and, in essense, continue to edit an object that you have already snapshotted to your canvas.
To learn more about markers, be sure to read the markers chapter in the ZBrush manual. If you don't already have the ZBrush manual, you can download it from the download page at Pixologic's website.

Just elaborating a bit on EZ and ZuZu's great answers:
You are correct that it's not normally possible to join multiple 3D objects to be one. The Multiple Marker Tool can do the job in a lot of places, but it's not always to your advantage to do this -- for example, if you plan to have different materials for different parts of the creature. The MM creates a single Polymesh with one material and no Draw modes (everything is ZADD, regardless of your marker settings).
I don't believe that Glen created the gums/teeth and the stitches as part of the head. Instead, he created the head and placed it on the canvas. Then he created each of the other pieces and added them to the scene as opposed to the object. Using the Move, Rotate and Scale gyros (as EZ described), he would then have been able to position each piece just right before permanently adding it to the scene. He probably also added the jaws (and possibly the stitches) on a different layer than the head, just in case he wanted to make an adjustment later, using markers as he went (like ZuZu suggested).
Remember, you can create a scene with any number of 3D objects, which can overlap and even be put in front of or behind other objects already in the scene.
