I got the hands done at last. I also tried out the render with shadows option. I am rather pleased with how this has turned out. I also noticed that he kinda looks like he is wearing an apron and oven gloves.

Do you have plans to paint this now? Very kewl looking as it is even if you don't paint it.

no paint. Im scared I make a mess of it so it shall remain colourless. Glad you like it Ron.

Looks cool , since you got the modeling part of the image under controle , why not try to texture it ?
Or if you dont want to texture , try out some different material / light settings. You can improve the look of your image drasticly by just changing some of those settings. Off course if you are working at a high resolution , render times might increase a bit :p
