I have a model of a car im working on, Ive drawn one part, but I was wondering if i could fuse? or in someway combine some of the zspheres that are in the same spot(i dew out then came back to get the effect i wanted, but i end up with a ball at the end. also my root zsphere wont go away, even though i made sure i didnt put a cap on it.

If you wanted to delete unecessary ZSpheres, while in Edit mode, use the same process as adding new ZSpheres, but with the Alt key held down. That deletes whatever ZSphere or connector sphere you click on.

Not sure what happens if you delete the root ZSphere - i always cap them.

To expand what is possible with ZSpheres, check out Digits' ZSphere Widgit (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=010409).

not quite what i meant, i want the effect of the linking spheres, but I dont want the end sphere
and the root sphere appears, I dont want it to appear, but it does anyway, I didnt cap it

Don't know if this will be any help, and i'm not very experienced yet - but i try to use ZSpheres such that the root ZSphere ends up in the middle of a less important group.

In other words, i work on both sides of it right away when building up a form. That way it is automatically capped and seems to act like a normal ZSphere and i don't 'end up' (no pun intended) with problems later.

Thanks, Jim. That is the best approach. You cannot eliminate the root sphere -- you either need to cap it or have the end be hollow.

THATS THE PROBLEM!!! I WANT IT TO BE HOLLOW!!! but the damn thing wont be hollow, lol, and i cant figure out why

Add another ZSphere Reyd, and then move it inward toward the one you want to be hollow... ;)

A visual example...

Hi Reyd,

I can't help with your request, but thought I would let you know that I do read the signatures.

You obviously have read Heinlein, and appreciate the quotes of Lazarus Long as much as I do.
