Hi every one!

I've imported a OBJ file from Max already Unwrapped into Zbrush and I started my modelling until Subdiv Level 7 but then when I went to ZMapper to generate the normal Map I get the following Message:

Plugin Note: Memory could not be allocated, and then it says: SubdividLinksQuick

and it doesn't let me generate my Normal Map...

Any idea of what can be causing this problem and How can I solve it?

Thanks;)

You should be at a lower subdivision level when you create a normal (or displacement map). You need to be at the level that you will apply the map in your render program.

i am at lvl 1 of subdivision, but i still get the error, it wont let you go into zmapper with out being in a lower subdivision

First, make sure your Preferences>Mem>Compact Mem setting is set correctly. Then:

1. Make sure you're running the most current drivers for your video card.
2. Run a virus and spyware scan as these can bog down system resources.
3. Try defragmenting the hard drive. It's possible for a drive to have a lot of free space that can't be used because it's all in tiny pieces.
4. Try disabling plugins to see if any of them might be causing a conflict. This is done by holding down the Shift key while ZBrush is launching (press it right after you double-click the icon to launch ZBrush). If the problem goes away, one of your plugins is at fault.
