Hello everyone. I wanted to start this thread before starting spending my money on Gnomon DVD's or Digital Tutors DVD's. I wanted to ask which one you think it's better? For instance if I want to start learning Maya or Zbrush from zero?
I only whatched few dvd's from each of these comanies and I am not sure which one it's better, even though at some point I would prefere Digital Tutors. I only compared introduction to Zbrush from each of them and I realized that they are absolutely complementary: I've learned some thing from DT that are not explained at Gnomon and viceversa but I enjoyed more the DT DVD because it's more... educational and fluent. Meats Meier it's such a great artist but not such a good teacher...
Also I was totally dissapointed by the Character Modeling and Texturing for production from Gnomon. Ian Joyner speaks too fast (and I am not a native english speaker) and the dvd works on a high speed which makes it impossible to follow! I tried to catch some things but I had to go forward and rewind many times and than pause to see what he's clicking there! I quit trying to follow him... It's impossible! It seemed to me like he was explaining the workflow for himself... But this is just my oppinion.
Now I want to buy some dvd's about Maya and I don't want to be dissapointed again... So what would you recommend?
Many thanks in advance for your feedback.
