Hello, I am new to ZBrush and have a question about making materials. I would like to make a 3D object look like glass (i.e. transparent). I have been unable to accomplish this playing with the material settings. Can someone offer me some suggestions please?

Thanks! :D

you need 2 layers.
the first layer make your background.
on the second layer is your transpaernt object.
go to materail that will allow you with transpaernt setting ok set it to like 90 then go to (render) turn flaten layer off
then when your done with that look above for the button that says Best Render.
and walla there you go
