I was wondering how you can increase the # of polygons in a 3d sphere (still using old version ZBrush Demo.)?
David
You have two ways. First is before you start modeling -- go to Tool>Modifiers>Initialize and change the HDiv and VDiv values. After you've started modeling, you can use Tool>Modifiers>Deformation>Divide (which is on the second page of deformers). This can be applied to masked objects, as well, dividing just the unmasked areas and those areas adjacent that are necessary to keep a clean mesh.
tools,modfyers,deformation (divide)
Or
Tools,modifyers,intilizer(Hdivide Vdivide)....
EDIT,,,,,i see me and aurick posted at the same time i just seen his reply

I tried the thing where you hit the divide button in the deformation toolbar. As far as I can see, it didn't work. It did, however, slow down ZBrushes operation. Any idea whats up?

If you go into Preferences>Dots mode, then when you rotate the model you will see the wireframe. Trust me, the Divide deformation doubles the number of polygons in all unmasked parts of the model. And because of all the extra polygons, your computer slows down. This is why it's wise to use masking to control the division and keep the dense parts of the mesh limited to where you need them.
After you hit Divide do a smooth operation. This should allow you to see the newly created polys. :)

Oh, I thought it doubled the amount of shaded polygons, I get it. I was adding polygons to the cheek and forehead, yeah Aurick it does work. Thnks all.
