Here are 3 models that I did just messing around with radial symmetry and the SweepProfile3D.

The first one is a candle holder or whatever else you can think of. This was done from a SweepProfile3D and some masking and deformation. Then some modeling with various radial symmetry settings and different brushes (layer, inflate, std, etc.)

The second picture is the torch that i modeled for Kronk in this previous post (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=016366&p=3). It was done the same way as the first model, but i used Markers to stick the sphere on the bottom to cap it off.

The third picture is a sword that was inspired by seeing Pixolator's sword that he had posted a while back. I know it is nothing outstanding, but i had to give it a quick try. This was created from zspheres and then modeled with radial symmetry and projection master.

Hope you like them! If u are interested in a zscript i can do one, but i didnt save any of these ones. just let me know.

Comments and tips always welcome!

These all look great! I'd love a zscript...and what's the polycount on these things?

Thanks Leonel, tdrs, axby!

Leonel: Markers allow one to group 2 objects together as one. Just place the one object where u like and then hit "m". then place the next and hit "m". Then go to the tool pallette and select the MultiMarker tool. and draw the new combined object. There is much more info about Markers in the Quicklinks (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000049) section.

the polycounts are:

candle holder: 131,000 polys

torch: 135,000 polys

sword: 434,000 polys

I will do a zscript as soon as i can.

Yeah, that zscript would be great. Can't seem to figure out how to do the sweep profile 3d yet. Sure it's in the tuts somewheres. Great work man!

alright here is the zscript. hopefully it works. i have never done this before. the model ended up being a very detailed chess piece. i tried to do it fairly quickly, so it isn't perfect but hopefully it helps. let me know what you think. if u have questions about any part of it just ask.

*when running the zscript make sure to have the Tool and Transform Palletes open on the side tray so u can see what is going on.

here it is:

thanks everyone! i am glad it works. i forgot about the material thing but u can just hit cancel or load your favorite material.

nice model jotajota!

i would love to see everyone else's models usign radial symmetry and the SweepProfile or whatever other tool you cna think of.

Feel free to post your results!
I enjoy seeing how many variations there are all using the same basic method.
