Hey guys,
I decided to do the whole image over again, only this time with a little effort! :)

Thanks to everyone who gave me the great tips on nebula's and stars!

This one took almost four times the time the other one did (wanted it to look good).

Here is a choice of 2, pick the one which you think looks better and please comment!

All comments are as always appreciated (including the tips) :D

Nice. I like #1, though I love the sun effect in #2!

I prefer number 1, although i actually liked the ships from the other version of invasion better.

wow much better !!! the planets need a bit more depth, they seem kind of flat, but extreme improvement !

I like number one better, I think the more defined starfield works with the ships better...

Wow, this is a toughie. They both have qualities that I like alot. The first has better clarity and richer nebulae, but the starburst in the second is wonderful. I think, if you were to give some dimension to the planets, and use the starburst from #2, and the nebulae from #1, it would be wonderful. The ships are great in both, but maybe I like the smoothness of them in #1, since an object as vast as these ships would not look bumpy/veiny. If you were standing on the hull of one of these ships, the veins in #1 would look right to you, but in #2 they might be too big or too pronounced (that is at close range, of course).

Anyway, love the pictures just the same, and your extra work really shows.

I think that Zbrush 1.51 makes other 3d apps obsolete...dont you? :D

What a big change. I like the colors on the background of the first one, but think the lighting really adds to the second one. It has a more polished look :tu:

I have to agree with the others.. both are great on their own, but I would, like the others, take the best parts of 1 and 2 and combine them.
