View Full Version : New ZScript: Inbetweener
Here's a simple ZScript that takes data from two objects and draws a selected number of objects between them.

It's called "Inbetweener", and you can download it by clicking here: Inbetweener_A.zip (http://www.pixologic.com/zbc_uploads/user_file-1000781338oxc.zip)
Enjoy!

Nice script Davey. :tu:
I'm sure I'll find this useful, epecialy when I need something like a background fading from different colors. Cool! :)
Kewl! I've got to study this script more, but your solution to Undo's is elegantly neato.

great, davey! thank you! :D
Digits is absolutely right: the undo dialogue is great as is the overall purpose of this superb script... ahhhm, as you can see below i have a little difficulty with the colours (two different ones selected, only one displayed)... anything wrong with my settings?

Hi :)
Juandel: The answer is within your screengrab (good idea to post it :))… The tool is shown in color (in this case: Red) in the tool palette, which indicates that the object is in self-coloring mode and does not use the currently selected drawing color. If you turn off the TOOL ::MODIFIERS ::TEXTURE ::Colorize option you'll get the color-tweener working properly.
dr. jjwow: The above is a zipped file that contains two files, one is the actual ZScript text file while the other is the ZScript Icon file. I have downloaded the zipped file and did not encounter any difficulties.
I’ll email you the two files in uncompressed form in few minutes. This should solve the immediate problem and if you do eventually solve this mystery, please let me know :)

while doing this quick one i was wondering if it would be possible to add a function to this neatissimo script that places a marker with each drawn object... so one could easily create a .ztl composited of many objects via the multi-marker tool within a few clicks?
- juandel (at the wishingwell once more) :D
This Script is fantastic!!
I have modified the number of objects (2000).
Now i can draw some Gradient....
1) Set a Red Plane3D (Height = 1, Width = 640) on bottom
2) Set a Blue Plane3D on Top
3) Select DRAW THE OBJECTS
The image use BasicMaterial with some Noise
Thank you Davey
p.s. Warning: the UNDU dialog cannot undo 2000 objects ... hehehe
