View Full Version : I love a 4 day weekend...
Because I get to play with my favorite toy!
I was just modeling a new zombie and was reading the forums and saw a link to the Z-Distressed method. Still don't understand it quite yet, but this is what I came up with...
It's very scary what Z-Brush has been dragging from my subconscious...LOL

where did you get that nice luminence blur??a brush or what

The blur was in Photoshop. I duplicated the image and applied a gaussian blur. I then used it as an overlay and a linear burn. Then I dropped the saturations and finally adjusted the levels a wee bit.
Love the look of your sludge. I'd love to use
something like that for slimy zombie skin... :)

Hi Dickie
Here the first thread of the MtB Distressed effect (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=011189)
Don't try to understand it :D
Only the result is important :)
Your image rocks
I can resume the old distressed effect
:b3: Draw anything with a lot of micro-variations of altitude!
:b3: Duplicate the layer
:b3: RGB only : paint a color over the new layer with the Normal brush Zadd Off
:b3: take the BlurBrush Z Intensity 10%
That all :)
Now I believe in the Zb2 a similar effect is name "Cavity" :D
Have happy Zbrushing!
Pilou
Ps You can also make all your photoshop effects in Zbrush :)
Just play with all functions and brushes :)
Lights also :)
Thanks for the tips, Frenchy! I've only been Z-Brushing a week now, so I am still learning the ropes. Thank you also for the words of encouragement. You are a shining example of why these are the best forums on the internet.
