View Full Version : My first 3D-model ever! A head.
Started doodeling around in ZBrush 2 a week ago. Never done 3D before, I'm a 2D-guy, so I am pretty happy with the progress. Love the program!
The ZSphere-setup was based on the warrior-tutorial (I added a neck; that's all)..
I couldn't figure out the skin shading. The skin looked different than it did in the tutorial (any other good tutorials on that?).
Btw; could anyone give me an advice on how I could give this poor kid a pair of eyes.
I've tried a few things (projection and markers), but with no success.
Hope you like it.

Hi Olve from " "
It's not so bad for a 2D guy
Take a look at the Glen Southern Site ! (http://www.southerngfx.co.uk/general/zbrushworld/zbrushworld.htm)
Some crazzy stuff about eyes inside
Have happy Zbrushing!

Thanks - and thanks for the link. :)
Haven't found it yet, but does this tutorial also show you how to insert eyes without "flattening" the head? In other words; 3D eyes in 3D head, or would I have to draw that in using inflate and such?
Back to shaders; can't seem to figure out how the different layers work in theory (S1 to S4). Any good webpages on that?
Sorry for asking too much. :)

You have a simple method :)
:: You have the head = one object
:: Create one eye = One Object
:b3: Clear the Canvas : Ctrl + N
:: Recall (Menu tool: clic on the head)the Head : Mark it
:: Recall the eye : Mark it
:: Recall the eye : Mark it
= A Multimarker
:b3: Clear the Canvas : Ctrl + N
:: Tool MultiMarker = Automatic redraw of the Objects Marked :)
:: Now Mode EDit ("T")
You can move size rotate any object between us :)

Ps At the end you can make a "Polymesh" for transform the 3 object in one :)
All is in 3D Space :)

Hi Olve and welcome! Very good first post, looks
like you handle Zbrush pretty well. Hope to see
it textured and rendered.
:tu:
Thanks all! :)
And thank you for the help Frenchy Pilou.
Guess I messed it up a bit (head disappeared when positioning the eyes; is that normal?), but she's got eyes now and that's the most important thing. :) Great!
Hope I'll get this textured and all. Still have to play around with that.
Any idea how I could do hair?

Hi Olve
If you want hairs 3D take a look at the Cwahl hairs script ! (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=015784)
And No, it's not normal that your head disapear :)
Maybe you move it out the "Space work" of Zb ! Depending of your first preference!
Maxi : a cube of 4096*4096*4096 "pixols"
Look at the Upham tuts (http://zbrush.cjb.net/)for beginners :)
