Hello to all you Zheads!
Have I got a cool download for you today.
(or at least some of you may think so!) These Zscripts I offer you today used to be exclusive to the members of 3dCommune.com but I have decided to lift the exclusivity. (I co-moderate the Zbrush forum and galleries over @ www.3dcommune.com (http://www.3dcommune.com) along with Stevie Rae)
The reason I brought these here is that I have never seen these type of scripts around here before! I figure alot of you will find use for these! Adaptive hand modeling is what most would consider to be the most perplexing thing to model with Zspheres! I have been making hands since I first got Zbrush 1.51 and figured I should show my techniques! Now all of the puzzles are solved just by viewing these scripts! Yeah, right! LOL
Let me know if there are any questions and/or problems with these scripts!
Best regards,
Michael

Intructional Note:

This .zip weighs in at 301k and contains three .txt files.

#1.Pusadaptivehand.txt... (upper model)this script shows my modeling session for a quick lanky hand. The polys in this one are alittle twisted but the results are clean.

#2.PusadaptivehandA.txt... (lower model)this is part one of a two part script. This is a modeling session that is more advanced and uses a different technique than the other script! This one goes into way more detail and the resulting mesh is very clean.

#3.PusadaptivehandB.txt... (lower model)this is the second part of the more advanced script... run this one right after #2. You will not be asked to initialize this one as it begins where #2 left off. Note: When this script asks you to load a material just press cancel and the script will continue just fine.

Greatly appreciated :tu:
You're absolutely right about creating a hand with adaptive skinning , it is hard and I tried it a while ago , never really good good results , so I used unified skinning again which makes it easy.
So this is a reason to try adaptive again :)

You all are welcome... I'm glad to be able to show you how it works. With patience it can be done relatively easily.
Please post your results and let me know if you have any questions about the scripts.
Best regards,
Michael

Thanks for the help with modeling hands. I have ran through the scripts several times and have built a couple of hand models from scratch to have it down pat. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1040025768dcc.jpg

Thanks MizzThangg!! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
I was thinking about writing some annotations to go with these scripts but I don't know how? Aurick? Anybody? Do you think I should? Do you think these scripts are worth all the trouble?
