View Full Version : Can you delete geometry?
I made this 3Dobject from an Alpha, and yes I can hear you all saying "Just delete the line from the Alpha then remake the object"
But I wanted to know for future reference if there is a way to remove the 3D hunk at the left without flattening the object?

unfortunately the only way to delete it is to delete is from the alpha first. There really isnt a way around it...even flattening doesnt remove the geometry.
Sorry
Ok here's a dumb question, how do I cubically skin this thing now just to see what it would look like?

In the expanded Alpha Palette, toward the bottom, and before you skin it, set the mesh smoothing to 0.

This also goes for ZSpheres and ZPrimitives. Looks for the smoothing option under Tools ::Inventory.
Have fun!
Very Keen, thanks.

Yes you can delete the portion to the left on your model.. Simply mask it off and invert the mask so the portion you want deleted is "white" then select TOOLS>MODIFIERS>SELECTION either Delete Pts or Hide Pts and voila! it is gone.
Hey now thats just handy! Thanks dude!
