hi Zbrushers! this is my first post.

this is a work that i'm doing for a theatral (did this word exist?) work where they need a statue of pope bonifacio viii.

i've modeled a rough body form and in less than an hour i've got something that before it would require weeks!!!
i'll post shots of the statue as soon as its ready.
i'm including a sub surface scattering of the model.

Looking good. :tu:

What program did you render the transparent model in?

A great model and wonderful (and different) subject matter.

One little thing. From what angle is the statue to be viewed at? The reason I ask is that he appears very long in the torso. In the original statue this was probably intentional as it is likely that it was to be viewed from below with severe foreshortening. If yours isn't to be seen from below you might consider rescaling the proportions. Or of course you might want an exact replica of the original :)

this statue must be seen from below, from the audience of the theatre, so its proportions are deformed.

the rendering software is XSI 3.5.11

Really great modeling and materials. Does the helmet (or whatever it's called) look like a smaller diameter Vs the head than in the painting?. Looks to me a bit tight. Not the rim, but the cone inside the rim.

Great stuff! :tu:
