Does anyone know how to eliminate the fuzzy shadow effect? I've tried taking down the blur slider in the shadow palette but still no luck. What im looking for is a smooth crisp shadow, not that blurred / fuzzy look. thanks.

If you are using version 1.51, you can turn on ZMode and decrease the Aperture. Increase the shadow Intensity, as well.
Aperture represents how thick each shadow-casting ray is, so a low value means sharper edges.
Number of rays is exactly what it sounds like. More rays means more accurate shadows with a slower render speed.
If you decrease Aperture dramatically without increasing the number of rays, you will find that the shadows get strange holes in them. This is because there aren't enough rays being cast to fill in the shadowed areas completely. However, a low number of rays is ideal for test renders while you're setting your lighting.
Finally, remember that Zoom>AA Half should be activated before exporting your image. Not only is it great for antialiasing, but it helps improve the edge quality of the shadows as well.
Hope that helps a bit!
