View Full Version : A Quiet Spot (Hybrid Image)
This is another in a series of Hybrid images done with ZBrush and Vue D'Esprit.
I have only been using Vue for about two weeks so there is still a lot to learn. I think that the two programs work well for me, this might be different for others.
The sky and rocks were done in ZBrush.
Sea and foliage was done in Vue.
Thanks in advance for viewing.
DeeVee,
Joe.

It looks like another great piece, :tu: :tu:, It has nice depth and excellent foliage. But its very pixelated, how come? :(.

Thanks for viewing. The reason it is so pixalated is that I over compressed it. Sorry about that.

Well you've certainly merged the two applications well here, Joe - before reading your text I spent sometime looking at the image trying to decide what you'd done in ZBrush - and gave up: it looked all Vue to me!

Yeh me too! I can't tell what's what either. This is good as it means seamless integration of the two programs. Well done DeeVee!
:)
Thanks for the comments folks. How I am trying to use the programs is very simple. Those things that I do fairly well in ZBrush like the sky, and sometimes water, and rocks, I will continue to do in that program. And use Vue for foliage mainly and sometimes water depending on the image.

great software combo joe.. you did a really awesome job on the palm tree..
Very supa doopa joe, Vue is a pretty nifty program esp for the value I love playing with the procedurals in it
As one of my friends mentioned to me, Vue has been an eye opener! These hybrid images are fun to create. What I found interesting is the techniques that I developed in learning ZBruch almost mirror what Vue does automatically.
Thanks again for spending your valuable time to view my images and commenting, it is most appreciated..

Joe.

It's a nice image but I kind of like your pure Zbrush images more. They are much more expressive than this one. It's probably a matter of personal taste and remember that I'm not a profesional. I also feel kind of bad that I rarely reply about your images and now that I do I have a criticism. But like I told you at the chat I do like your images and check them whenever you post them. So keep up the good work!
