from a project that's taking rather long to complete, because I haven't got enough time, even me sleeping at 5am every day...
this is to show the sheer power of the cube3D object- modelled in low poly from a hexagonal prism (made with a cube3D with a 6-sided base. you can do that by turning off horizontal and vertical smoothing, and adjusting the vertical subdivision to 6 in the tools-> modifiers-> initialize subpalette)
the sign and the airshaft holes were stencilled later, on the finished image. the stencils were derived from masks, which in turn were derived from 2D images I made inside Zbrush. all in all, I haven't so much as touched Photoshop for this one. HA!
