actually, the pane is a slab of completely opaque gelshader, with some settings tweaked. in addition, the scene boasts 5 spotlights, to get the effect of a lamp shining from behind the glass.

I have now moved on to photoshop, using it as a background layer, and have made quite a progress since this posting.
I might be posting the final image here, however I don't want to annoy purists of Zbrush.

tell me what you think

Post it here.

I'm no purist, nor politically correct. ;)
This is rather interesting. I'd appreciate seeing the finished product. :D

Christos, post it here. The results of your experimentation, to this point, are intriguing.
I still believe that other software packages, such as photoshop marry well with ZBrush.
I receive a magazine, Computer Arts, which showcases the work of a variety of illustrators, cg artists etc. Most of what I've seen points toward the use of several programs. This "software snobbery," that people get into is a bit silly. However, I also believe one should explore the various programs resident on one's hard drive - or, if not, then admit to a lot of money tossed down the drain.
And yep, I do think ZBrush is, and will remain, one of the most fantastic programs to be developed: It does things other packages just aren't designed to do. A great compliment to the arsenal of graphicsware out there.

nice pane..and very interesting....hmmm...no matter what the program or the filters or effects or whatever....art to me is the placement and useage of these tools...zbrush is just another tool in that arsenol...and a hammer aint worth a whole lot without some nails....so to me there isnt anything wrong with some no Z material being shown here....art is art....and in the end, its all something just pretty and kewl to look at....snicker....my redneck dialect surfaces...anyhoooooooo keep up the good work...and I am not a purist snob :tu: :tu: :tu:
