There are still a couple things I'd like to do with this one. And since I'm on holidays, I will get the chance to play with this image a bit more... Suggestions/comments welcomed. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1008830960msw.jpg

another fine image ...I love this stuff....the only thing I would do if I had the talent like you would be to make the gaping hole a bit slimier...like the thing inside is more moist and the innner membrane of the eggs has been ruptured for the hatching...and possible some loose eggshell on the foreground....or leave it as it is..coz its still an ultra kewl pic...
This is great!!
The um, baby dinolizardbird thingy is AWESOME.
The edging around the opening is deadon, GREAT effect on the egg, as well as texture.
VERY special work. :tu: :tu:

Thanks for the comments.
Doc, I'm not sure I really want him to get all the way out... The food bill, not to mention the lil dog next door(hmm, maybe that's not a bad thing... lol.)
Ron, your suggestions are the very things I'd been thinking of doing. Actually I'd experimented with the "slimy" additions, but without any real luck. But I'll try again.
Kathy, at first the edging was a fair bit thicker, soft looking. In 2D mode, I went at it the eraser tool to remove the thicker areas, and place the cracks. Was I glad that the egg was in it's own layer.

the second image is alot better....its always those little things that really make the pic to me...and if it was on yer mind too...then you know what I mean already....keep on Z-ing...cant wait to see more of your work....very inspiring....kudos :tu: :tu: :tu:
very cool image. I like the second slimy one
I'd say it doesn't need those extra black crack lines on the egg. They are a little harsh and distracting.

Reminds me of the first jurasic park.Very neat.
I liked the first version, and I love the second one! Really great work! The extra specularity effects that you added really complete the scene and keep it from looking flat. As drkwarrior said, very Jurassic Park!
Many Dittos, and Bravos, for this very well done image.
Eggcellent work, really well done.
Dave.
