Hi all guys and girls.

I have someone to thank for part this image but, I don't know who it is, and I can't find the topic, For the head I used the lillehof sphere to model the head of the young girl. Could someone please fill me in on who posted the idea. The lillehof sphere is really good to work with. You use a lower amount of polygons and ithe polys conform to the face much better.
The monster in this pic was posted earlier here (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=010640). I'll post more, textured + build soon.
as usual C & C always welcome. Oh yeah, excluding signature, its all zb, no post pshop, a first for me

Lovely composition you got going and great modelling, I enjoy all the details you put in :tu. After looking the first time I was afraid you would over do it when coloring the picture. But it turned out great. The only thing i feel is missing is more defining edges, color wise. But that could just be my understanding of Anime

Anyway great picture :tu:

Very good, Hitch! My suggestion, to be taken lightly... :D "Ms Magenta, Monster Mauler!" :tu:

Hi Hitch,

What a great action image. Title suggestions?
How about "Little Orphan Anime and her Intergallactic Cattleprod!"

I like the warpaint on her face and I would love to get some tips on how you modeled the pouches and buckles and straps on her legs.

The Lillehoff sphere is great for head modeling yes, and also for showing how the structure of the mesh balances with the details you are modeling. Don't forget ZSphere modeling for heads also, which has the same overall balance of the mesh but so much more controllability.

Here are all the toys that I used, mostly adaptive z-spheres skinned at very low resolution, easier to have control over the final look of the mesh, plus you have the advantage of having control over individual verticies, which is still doable in high res, but it is a monumental pain. I included a picture of the lillehof sphere for those who don't know what it is, if you're interested in it, check out the link that Mentat 7 has provided.

Build
I changed the head about half way through, because I felt that the pose was too dull, This is one of the reasons that I Use seperate body parts on seperate layers. working this way is not for everyone, but it does have its advantages

The Zbrush experts will probably want to skip this. I'm mainly putting it in here for beginers. This is thte main thing that Wanted to write about. The mrgbz grabber is a very handy tool for outputting to photoshop. This alpha was made using a few simple cylinders, and then imported into pshop and manipulated, You would have alot of trouble creating an alpha like this from scratch. The alpha was then taken back into zbrush and used as an alpha for the fog channel. I rendered with a few different settings and exported each render to psd, I then put them all on top of each other to make the Light bursts that you see in the final image.

Very nice (=understatement).
I was just wondering if you were inspired by Southern's "Egg thief"?
Nevertheless, I love your work!

great people, we have a working title it goes
:b3:Surina Kirsa, aka, The rebellion of La belle et la Bête the Little Orphan Anime and her Intergallactic Cattleprod, 'Ms Magenta the Monster Mauler' :b3:, read it a few times its starts to make sence then, or i'm just going crazy :)
:3:Thanks zbuds Mtb,Grub, Tv eyes, DMerchen for the comments.

:b3:Thank you good doctor for youre comments, maybee I have offended Mr Yetter and mr Alon in some way ;)

:b3: Pilou, thank you for the kind words, THe deal with the eye was that I wanted it to look like it was completly dead, that light couldn't penetrate it, thats why I made it that way.
:b3: Fets, I think in some way we are all inspired by Glenns work, but also in a way i am inspired by everyone on the forum from Deevee's wonderful landscape experiments(I used a couple of Joes techniques for the bg), to shikuri's wonderful oriental stylization as for southerns egg thief, I don't know if i have seen it, he pumps the masterpieces out so fast that its hard to keep up.

:b3: Zoid, I will try to post some pics, but I am about to miss my train.
sorry for the long ramble.
Paul
