im doing a image of a xmas scene and im having problems with one of the tools that i created.... every thing was working fine until i imported a material, changed the color...and down sized the image... first i cleared the canvas then imported my material to place it into the material pal.. then i changed the color to a light brown... then when i went to place my tool on the canvas all i get is what you see on the image below... when i brought it up i forgot to click add in the draw panel...(it was on sub... i saved the tool to make sure that my tool was secure but now everytime i bring it up i get the same look... please help.....i want to use this tool really bad... http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1008548291fbu.jpg

I am only using the demo....but the image looks like one where the intensity is turned was down....Like when you make a sphere but you start out with it being uh low pressure where its almost transparent and with a flat material??? I am prolly wrong...but hey, I tried Doc :o
I've had the same thing happen on more than one occassion and the only way I could get things back to normal was to shut down ZBrush and restart it.
If there's another way to solve this, I'd sure like to know it too.
Kevin
when you saved it you probley embed
(material Flat Color) and when you bring it out on canvas it will bring material flat color out with it.
to fixs it you need to put your zlt in the tool pallet so you can see it THEN change material flat color.
then bring your .zlt on the canvas

This may seem obvious, but try setting the ZADD to it's maximum; and MRGBZ is turned on. I have run into this a few times, and went nuts trying to figure it out.
Edit: "MRGBZ" shoul have read "MRGB." No one ever said I was the brightest bulb on the tree! :D

Doc, I was pleased to help. :)
Seems a lot of what I've done I've had no idea where it was going! But somehow, something emerges; so, I'm sure you'll create something you will be pleased with. I look forward to a new image from you.
That's a really excellent model doc, the fine detail on the fur and beard are impressive. I haven,t managed to achieve that quality yet, was it a high polygon count.
Dave.
