Hehe haven't posted for ages! Donno if i'll be able to finish this but might as well start it :) then work out the rest later.
Think I'll keep it simple and try to nail the character and story of the image. I'm doing a little vombie kid grabbing he's own skullcap and revealing a he's little surprize in his skull. It's he's little version of a trick-or-treat i guess :)
I want him to be extremely gross and scary but adorable at the same time :)
will post some doddles soon.

Ummm donno if it's too scary but here's my first concept, maybe the kid could be a little cuter :), might take a couple of photos pulling faces to find something better. I kinda like it looking disturbing though :P but maybe i'm just weird hehe. Well, comments are wellcomed!

The title of the contest has 'silly' there in equal standing beside the 'scary' idea. At present you might be risking a bias a bit too far to the fright side. Perhaps a somewhat cartoonified treatment would restore the balance.

Yer like Rory_L said i think it is needing a little more Silly factor, maybe i put some lollies in he's skull instead of the bloody brain and/or make the kid a little more cartoony or have a funny expression. :) been busy, will take some reference photos soon to refine my concept. Thanks again!

Very beautiful design. The idea is also good. But I miss the joke therein. For example: In the head is no bleeding brain, but many sweets. Or something like that.
If your final is just as good as your sketch… I looks forward to more.
Do you want to turn on the whole 2D or 3D in ZBrush?

lol I think it is funny. sick humor always gets me laughing. maybe too violent for some. I like the idea of candy or something sweeter than brains but I love the concept pic. can't wait to see what surprises you have stored in your head for us lol. keep up the great work:D
p.s. maybe candy apples since they are gooie too just a thought.
