The center deity was done in Zbrush, water in psp, the globes done in simply 3d3, and the water in psp...this was before I knew about Z water :)
EDITED.... :) thnx yall...took the poser ppl out... http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1011907257vbs.jpg ;)
this is the original piece before I mirrored it and put the whammy to it...giggle..was a poor excuse for an alien...I also keep alot of little action figures and aliens around my computer desk for inspiration and modeling but this was the alien in blue that I used...blushing with embarrassment
:D
http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1011927490byz.jpg and I reedited this with a frame filament..thnx...hope this was what you were talking about

incredible! the poser models spoil it! your Zbrush skill would have done much better :)
really!
the center piece and the water are really-really well done! and the composition is very gothic.

A very interesting image Ron. Sometime ago, before I swallowed the hook, jaundel did a thread on water and reflections,as far as I remember he used only ZBrush. I hope I can find it again. I might be mistaken though, the old brain has on a lot of milage, and does not always function the way I wish it would. If someone remembers that thread could you please point me in that direction. I just have to get Bryce like water done in ZBrush.
The deity rocks.
Excellent presentation. Dark and foreboding.
I have to agree with C, the poser chics just don't fit.
I LOVE that creature!!!! :tu: :tu:
I don't mind repetition by the way. As fast as this forum is, it gives me a second chance. ;)

Your deity is something to behold. I like the boldness of the color. The light settings really bring the eyes to the center peice: the deity. I like the water as well, however you went about it's creation.
One suggestion? Try putting a border around the image, and place your signature there... It may be me, but I find bold sigs within the image create a secondary, sometimes distracting second "center." Give it a try, see what you think. Or tell me to pound sand up my nose :D

good idea, filament...anybody have any examples of a good bordering? and I forgot to mention that this was not a sculpted 3d pic..it was all painted in zbrush, cept for the water and the globes (which were done back then/now in Simply 3d3) now I make my balls..snicker..in Zbrush...muhahahahaha...the image was actually a single sided profile of a Alien I was playing with when I first saw Southerns Gigerish alien...and I took it into psp and mirrored the profile...and this tentacled creature suddenly was staring back at me so I kept him and came up with the idea of the finished pic...I appreciate the comments about taking the poser ppl out...I wish I was better than i am with figures coz I still would have liked that thing to be holding an angel and a demon in the globes...but at my level, giggle, yall are right...the poser figures took away from the creature in the center...thank yall so very much for the AHEM..."good constructive critique" of my stuff..I do truly appreciate your honesty's...

A cool thing about the diety is I see two faces--one total outline and--one below like a smiling Buddha --Interesting Mr. Ron :tu:
I never got to see the Poser chicks. Nice image, Ron! I like the colors and the water effect works well in this pic.
Very interesting picture Ron! :) The skin and modeling on the 'deity' is neat, a cool looking expression too. :)

very cool pic, ron. is that a face i see on the deity right above the water? great job on the tenecles, too.
"poor excuse for an alien" - i disagree...that's a really cool looking alien. some of the best 3D painting i've seen. and it's cool how you used it to make the other pic.

you know something I just saw in the image....I re edited it earlier after the poser people were obviously taking away from the image...well what I did was take the image into that little simply3d3 program where the spheres were made (since I only have the demo of zbrush) and put new sphere over the old ones somewhat masking out and distorting the original spheres..and on that left sphere...and I mean this as God is my witness I didnt plan it...but there is what appears to be a Z in the reflection of that sphere....I about fainted just now when I relooked at the image....fate? just thought I would share that if you hadnt noticed....very peculiar...but then again so am I :D
Both images are good. I like the alien the most :D
my fav is da Blue one and the frame made it stand out real good :tu:

You are quite right Ron. I see the Z in the sphere. Nice work, regardless of which version you are using.
