This started out as my usual poster series.
Very feminine face etc...but the longer I delved into the cultural background of tribes etc, the more I realized that UNLIKE America; ornament, paint etc is unisex. The men dressed up for the women as much as the women dressed up for the men.
But, I digress.
In the end, I was enamoured with the Wodaabe tribe, and integrated a stronger sense of humanity rather than femininity.
3Dplane was utilized for the face and border. 3Dsphere for the braid jewelry. Bryce on the background (sorry kids, but I downloaded B5 for demo and had a reason to use it) Z for the dreadlocks.
Photoshop for some gradient blurs. Elephants are alphas BTW. (I realized that I can use the alpha brush MUCH like the brushes in Photoshop, yeah, I'm slow sometimes.)
This is 47" X 19". I killed the Zdoc file. BUT was able to save post render as a psd BEFORE the crash of 01. hahaha!
Enough rhetoric.
