View Full Version : Symmetrical Multimarker Object
I know that many people have posted ways to do this, but i cant seem to find them anywhere. I want to make a robot and have the same parts on both sides. Also, I want the object to have markers so i can rotate the whole thing at once. Is there anyway to do this besides just "eyeballing" it?

One way to do it is to make half of your robot, or whatever, then 'Duplicate' the layer...You then flip the layer, move it until it matches what you require, then merge the two layers....See Pixolators' 'Golden Rust' script in the quicklinks to see this technique in action... :)
On second thought, here's the link to save you the trouble of looking...

that is a good way of making the object one time. Duplicating layers doesnt make the markers on the other side though. I want to make the image(placing markers), make a multimarker, and then make a polymesh. I guess ill just have to eyeball it because i dont think their is a way. Thanks SC for pointing out that way for me!!

No prob, L...I don't use mutimarkers, so I didn't get what you were trying to do... ;)
Well, Im getting the full version either tomorrow or wednesday (cant wait) and one of the first things i wanna do is make a polymesh robot and save it as a tool. Thanks again for showing me that because that method will be handy for some other things i have in mind.

You beat me to that answer, Digits. :)
It's a great technique, and I've used it successfully myself.
