Well I guess it depends on what mood one is in. I like the first one just because it has a magical, mystyrious feel (blue).
The second is very tumultuous (red)to me. Almost as if the place is on fire. Just goes to show you color theory really works well. Even though nothing changes, color is all you have to alter to make different impressions. Make one with a warm green (more on the yellow side) and I feel this will give it a peaceful, inviting feel.

Once again man, nice work!!

for what it's worth, I like the first one the best.

Very cool Sarum! :tu:
I too like the second one better. It brings out the details better for the eyes than the darker blue.

Nice job, was this all Zbrush?
It looks all Zbrush. :)

I agree with Mahlikus, it depends on viewers mood. But I like both of them.

Good work :tu:

They are both FANTASTIC illustrations! However,
I have a very slight preference for the second one because the lighting shows more details. :tu: :tu:

That is a wonderful picture. I prefer the colors of #1, but since the details are clearer I would have to go for #2.

In any case they are both going to go into my "inspiration" folder. :tu: :tu:

Spanking good Sarum!. Personally I prefer the first one, because of the mysterious moonlight. And while the second one shows MORE details I think the first one shows this piece in all the detail that is needed...Excellent! :tu: :tu:

all you need is a tiny woman in the middle floating in front of the giant in the blue version and it could be a new clive barker bookcover!

damn, thats a hard pick there, i will have to pick number 1 because of the colors used, and it makes it look more real without the details kind of dark. great picture, reminds me of the tree creatures from lord of the rings
