Hello.
My name is shikuri.
I am pigma's girlfriend. ;)
This Buddhist image is called ASHARANATA. In Japanese, it is called by the name called Fdoomyouwoo.
It is the Cosmic Buddha's kind.
As for this Buddhist image, expressing in the style of anger is common.
It does not say why I made this picture now.

There is a law which should observe some strictly in this Buddhist image.
It be angry. It is like the child to whom the body grew fat. Have a sword in a right hand and have a rope in a left hand. Wrinkles like the ring of water should be in a frame. It is what a right tooth is upward and a right tooth is downward. Open the right eye and close the left eye. The bunch of hair should droop on right-hand side. An intense flame should be in the back. Etc. ...
That there are many every rules tires me.

I expressed the flame this time using FOG. ;) ;)

another wonderful piece, Shikuri! i think that you did a very spiritual and emotional job within the strict rules of iconography :) excellent! the flames are especially hallucinante! bad kharma burning :) kudos!

a little wisecracking after doing some web-research for those that might want to do some themselves: i couldnt find any hits when searching with "asharanatha", but with a little patience i found that a transcription like "acalanatha" or "achalanatha" brings up lots of results on this deity. a web-compatible transcription for the japanese name seems to be "fudo myo-o" (among many others :D)

Hi juandel. Thank you for teaching the spelling which is easy to hit by reference of a web. :)
I appreciate your advice. :tu: :tu:
In Japan, these names are written with a Chinese character. Therefore, I made self-taught pronunciation the character. :p
I'm sorry. :D

That's one unhappy Buddha - I certainly wouldn't want to break any of his rules! ;)

Great modelling and texturing. :tu: :tu: :tu:
