The modeling looks good. The skin texture is off though. It's too dark and looks a bit sickly. Maybe different lights will fix that?

Looking forward to it! I wanted to do a version of this myself so I'm pretty psyched to see how well yours turned out. Improving the looks of the textures or how they interact with the light will really send it over the edge.

looks good so far... Teyon's hit most of the points that I would've suggested. :)

Mouth looks a little small to me but that's just me more than likely. Ears look a little too flat against the head (straight line going down parallel to skull). The skin around the throat looks a bit off. I think I need to see a reference image just to make sure that I'm not commenting on things that ARE supposed to look like that though.

I think the head's modeling is pretty dead on...though I would have done the mouth differently too. Still, the only thing that really detracts from the work is the texture or lighting.
