I still don't know what I'm doing in ZBrush but figure I'll learn some day and while I'm learning I'll share my growing pains with y'all. I managed to get this image done after a couple hours of piddling in Zbrush so there is progress even if I did a lot of layer deleting along the way to fix my worst booboos.

I'll finish reading the manual one of these days. I have a habit of curling up with software manuals and reading about an hour before falling off to sleep. It's hard to curl up with a huge 3 ring binder though, but that's what it took to hold all those pages of the Zbrush manual, modeling, and mask pdf files plus several html tutorials, double sided printed even. ;)

It's an excellent landscape! Looks like you've got a grasp on ZB... read the manual hmm? Maybe I should give that a try ~s~

That foreground vegetation is some of the most realistic that I've seen. At first, I actually thought that tree was an imported mesh! The flowers are beautiful, too. You have a very good eye for life, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do next!

As one of those who do mainly landscapes, I must say that this is a very impressive image. As the others have said, maybe I should also read the manual. Congratulations, and keep up the good work.

Very Nice! The transition from foreground to background is done very well...the river gives it a very good sense of depth and scale. Well done!! :tu: :tu:

WWWWOOOOOOOWWWW!!!! THAT´S a perfect work.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought that you were in the wrong forum...your forum was photography and not ZB!!! :D
Keep the good work because you sure know what you´re doing. :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

A very painterly feel, with a dose of realism. Your layer deletions, and fiddling about paid off. Lovely image.

I know what you mean about the manual. I use also because i have insomnia problems. Not because it is boring , actually it is very easy to read. The strange thing is that is half the amount of pages , books for 3r profesional programs use, like New Riders Modelling with 3d max and actually it does not go as much depth as these books go. Zbrush is actually hudge for a first version 3d program. :D :D :D :D

You must be quite an artist cause this is very good for a early image, there has been some previous tutorials which can help a create amazing landscape images. Try the
Alpha Century tutorial, by Pixolator, found at http://pixologic.com/.
