hi everyone. here goes;

as usual, I'm not commenting in the script. in case it's hard to follow, here's the process;
make a square plane and snapshot a few long triangular prisms on it, in such a way as to form a squares pattern.
then, use the MRGBZ grabber and drag from the center of the square plane outward, so that you grab a square texture.
make a cylinder3D object, and apply the newly grabbed texture to it, by pressing on it in the "Texture" tab.
then, in the Tool-->Modifiers--> Texture subpalette, increase the horizontal and vertical subdivision, so that the texture fits the cylinder as it should.
nothing to it, really.
have a go at it;
this zscript is rapid, and hopefully helpful. ( the zscript results in a straight pipe, not a bent one - I figured the ztool would be far more useful that way)
