Hand a few hours to put this together. It
was fun. Wanted to show this because some
had ran into problems with the current poly
limit with Zbrush 1.55b.
What I did here is start with ZSpheres then
sculpt until I hit about 100K polys. Then
with the help of the Bump Viewer Material
add the rest of the fine detail.
Just WIP
I will post another with more fine detail.
( take a while to add ALL those chicken scratches :)

ooooooo stubby troll-like fingers... me likes :D Hmmmm...Dave with the event horizon of the release of the next version drawing very near I wonder if there are any ZScript gurus out there that might know of a way to make a Skin Noise ZScript that could generate all them chicken scratches? :) Just wishful thinking but I know my wrists get very tired after drawing in all the skin marks as well... :)

A very nice example of chicken scratches! These look great! :tu: Nothing magical here huh? I will have to take a try at something soon. (with chicken scratches of course!)

Yup, very very nice :)

Perhaps something to cycle through a group of alphas after each stroke would do the trick? That might be the easiest way to create such a script and leave it flexible enough so we don't all produce identical work...

Amazing!
Could you share some details about the "bump viewer" material you mentioned? Does it allow you to draw (and see instant results in) the bump map directly onto the model with TextureMaster?

Amazing! It looks like you modelled it from a lump of clay.
Pleas post more when you can manage it.
Huge Regards

Your gnarly hands are looking good, Skycastle. The new bump material opens up some nice possibilities with the current version. :tu:
Skaven, in case you haven't seen it, here's the bump material Aurick posted on Rimasson's thread...

hi,
can anybody explain me the use of the new material? i don't quite understand how to use it the way skycastle did. my result is always blury and i don't get the sharper strokes :-/ it always looks good when i apply the strokes in the 'dropped' version (texture master). but when i pick it up again the result is of less quality and the brushes strokes are blury. any ideas on how to make it better?

Hi Blackthorn
Texturing in TM is dependent on the resolution of your document as well as the size of your texture. The cause of your bluriness may be that your document size is too small. Try texturing with a document at or bigger than the size of what your final render document size will be and make sure your texture size is big enough for your model (if it is a skin with AUV tiles assigned ZBrush will warn you if it is too small).
Great hands there - reminds me of my grandparents chicken coop and dares to catch the beggars - the chickens that is.
