guidance on job searching

well i have just finished the school year and am no into the real world looking for work.
Buty I was just wondering if any of you cg gurus know of any north american companies that do short films with a more european flavour. i feel that the cartoons and shorts over here are way to cute and bubbley and lack substance.
but im finding it tough to find places in north america with more style and artistic liscence. for example platige image from poland who did fallen art and the newest one ARK. i really love there stuff.
i have done lots of looking but i juust wanted to make sure i got all my avenues.
if anyone can ppoint me in the right direction that would be awesome help and i would much appreciate it.

Welcome to the real world!
My advice, get the first job which comes along and extend from there while making money. And when the boss says 'We need cute and bubbly' then MAKE cute and bubbly ;}.

Second that...
Except if you don't need money, first find a job in any correct compagny, you'll get experience and contacts.
Once you'll have both, you might be able to find a job that fit more to your expectations....

or if you have some money

start your own small company, make what you want to make.

success chance 10% , maybe even less.

but you will learn a lot. :D
