Inspired by Pixolators futuristic motor bike I decided to give a simular project a go. I have lots to do yet with the materials and the lighting, maybee a background.

I had trouble knowing when to stop as far as details were concerned, but I did eventually stop, I best get on with other things for a while and come back to this for stage three some time. I am really looking forward to the Zbrush update.

Awesome work! With the easy, organic style of modeling that ZBrush has, it's easy to forget that it can also be used to do great mechanical objects. This is really cool and well done. Great to see!

Beautiful follow-up, Arran...(I still think you should go for more dramatic lighting! ;) )

Okay thats it, I tried to stop but I couldn't. I improved the lighting and the shadows, an atempt to make the lighting more dramatic without loosing the details, hope you like.

Excellent!! I bet Pix is working his buns off putting the finishing touches on his ride right now! The gauntlet has been thrown down... ;) I said it before and I'll say it again. You have a passion for purple my friend! Kudos!!!

Love it...! Actually what I was thinking of when I said 'dramatic lighting' was that I think you have your global ambient set too high...If you try a render with it turned to '0', and move it up a little at a time, you'll find you'll keep the detail, since the materials have ambient values, but the scene will become more dramatically lit. ;)
(The default is 15, I think, and I usually have mine no more than 3...)

You probably noticed that rather small seat at the back of the bike, "who would fit on that" I hear you ask.
The answer is Bob!

The more dramatic lighting is very effective. I hope that you revisit this piece when the next version is released, and render it again with those features, just to compare. It would be great to see the results! But you've done as fine a bit of mechanical modeling as I have seen by anyone here at ZBC. Great job!

As for Bob... :D

hi pix, i have been tryin really hard just to try and follow you technique on the bike. i was wondering if there is any way you can guide me a bit. question one. is the entire bike grouped in the end and you can rotate it all over, or do you build it as it stands? any help would be appreciated.
