Hi everyone! Okay, got my keyboard working again. Man,...Computer Withdrawal is rough! I had to copy-paste letters just to make my last post. Anyway, here's a couple pics I did in a comic book style. The only thing 'Z' element here is the skull on the mountain. I rendered the pic in Vue D'Esprit 2. The Beast is a sculpture I did in Super Sculpey about 10" tall and matted in. Comic book effect was done in PhotoImpact using 'find all edges' filter and pasting that over the original picture and trying different blending modes. Well, that's all. See ya later! 50'sKID. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200304/user_image-1049756901ghl.jpg http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200304/user_image-1049757000avq.jpg

Hey Five-Oh,
Very nice effect here... do you do comix? Anything of yours similar posted anywhere else?
Sven
I really like the effect on the trees in the first pic. Are they part of the Vue pack? Very nice blend of the programs, it's great you could make them match for 2 pics. ;)
Of all of those, Vue is the only program in mind that actually renders individual leaves at photo quality. Great transition, would not have thought find edges would ever be useful, it's so archaic. ;) Nice comic look for CG.

A bit of 1 2 1 .. .. if you don't mind.
Great images.. although, you could use a tiny bit of differentiation between foreground and background elements. That is, maybe a bit of a blur, or rather, color change between the foreground and background.
Right now, it seems too similar, and flat. But my only critique is the similar, texture & color between foreground and bkg elements.

Hello, and thank you everyone. Hi, Svengali, no I don't do comics, I just wanted to see the effect. I have a few pics at Digitalart.org, here is the link. I just checked and was was surprised that the dino pic here was made 'recent standout' in the comics. Ah, the simple thrills in life.
Hi gummie, ya, the trees are standard pack in Vue 2. I got it off a magazine cover cd awhile back, wish I had 4. The new foilage is unbelievable, or should I say believable? Thanks for the 121 cartoonmonkey, I see your point. Thanks everyone, take care, see ya later! Richard. :)

Thanks five-oh,
I went over and took a look. Pretty nice stuff! You are definitely a technique guru!
Sven :)
PS. The sculpted dino is my favorite thing in your post above.
