Still fighting the jaggies!

I'm going to try and post a jpeg showing my problem, but if I can't, let me explain it. I'm finding it impossible to get rid of the stair-step edges, even at the highest rendering/maximum size, with anti-ailiasing turned up full blast. The truly wierd thing is: in a given sample, some objects will have very pronounced jaggies and other objects have very fine detail and no jaggies. What am I missing? also, how do I post an image? I find it's also helpful if you have the "color adjustments" button set to "on".
