:D

Okay I threw this thing together for the hell of it. It is rough, unfinished.......did some post work on it....couldn't be bothered fixing the hand and other bits and pieces. The image here is a little more completed than the end of the script.........feel free to have a play if you wish.
Here is the ZScript for those interested
ego.zip (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_file-1010126741peh.zip)

I post this mainly because some of you may not know of this method of painting within ZBrush, although I doubt it.

Note no textures were used.....and both my eyes were shut.

Ed, this is awesome. There is something really incongruous about a grumpy-looking old lady holding a symbol of youthful happiness like a balloon. And the face is just done so well! What an expression!

Hi,

<BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR> Note no textures were used <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Ed, Is it good to use no textures? Creating and applying textures... This is most funny part from my point of view. What do you think?

Good work.

Very nice concept, very nice modeling on the face but it looks like you took it easy on the cloths.

Very expressive, Ed! I like the humour, and I really like the character in the face...
Your brushstroke style is really clear and straightforward as well!

I can see that 2002 will give me more enjoyment watching your art than 2001. Great stuff,Master Ed.

Thanks..........

I just viewed the script........yeah Not too good. It was just dashed off....mistakes and all.

Yup the cloth.....underdone Like most things in the image...but, I work on the premise, just because I can draw something properly...doesn't mean I have to. :)
I like experimenting, breaking rules, denying everything I've learnt. Trying for a fresh start on any piece. Varying style, technique.......it alleviates the boredom of any piece I may be involved in. It gives me a new set of problems to find a work around for. Actually I only pick up a brush every ten years.....paint madly for 18 months...then throw the lot away......and do nothing for the next 10yrs. My 18months are nearly up.......boredom is beginning to take over. As a result I shall be posting less and less. It has been fun though. :)
