I know it's been done before, by better people then myself ;) . Still, I've been meaning to bring a photo into zbrush and play with it.
The small b&w image is a crop of the original image; something I'd done a good 10 years ago.
The resulting playtime in Z produced the larger, colored image.

oh wait , I know one thing you used on the image and thats the Glow Brush , I've had similar effects with it (the sparkles). Lovely effect isnt it :)

its great to see zbrush as a photo editor.. me loves it
That is really nice! Never would of thought to do that in Z.. Very unique!

That glow brush is a wonderful tool.
ZBrush, as a photo editor, seems like a natural choice.
I'd gotten hung up with the 3d aspects of the software, at the expense of the 2d. Which I'd like to explore to greater depths. My 3d ain't great - but then I don't plan images out at all. So, it's all guess work as to what tools to use, which deformers, etc.
The above image was easy to do, and fun, with a pleasant result.
