Great work, really nice sky, the orange cloud across the center is excellent and draws the eye to the sun.

Your comments are very much appreciated :ex:
Frenchy, astonished sunrise :qu: I think we have lost something in the translation :D Do not worry I read and understand French much better than I write it so I understand exactly what you mean :D :D
This image started out as a practice session. Then as it developed I decided to see what would evolve. The smudge, painter and highlighterbrush II were employed for the sky with Zadd off.
For the sea, the image was saved and brought back as a texture. It was snapshot. The intensity was turned down and the image flipped and moved into position with move in the transform options. Then noise was set at 1, GelshaderA selected from draw, depth was set at .01 and applied over the image using the DragRectangle to create the waves
The rocks were brought in as a texture and the 3D brush used to apply them.
The foam on the sand was applied with the painter brush using a small brush size and low intensity with Zadd off.
Shadow was selected form the light palette and rays 12 and aperture 120 set, it was then rendered, and exported. It was made into a jpeg using Photoshop 7.
I hope this helps to inform whoever may be interested in how this image was done.

Hi DeeVee
Astonishing sunrise :)
Sorry for the basic language :)
Astonished was insultant or something else ?
Take me the translation of it.
I make galliscism with many facility :)
This language is for me a real torture :)
You sunrise is an like a Turner painting with more energy !
Pilou
Do not worry! what you wanted to say is understood. I know the feeling about the English language, it is not an easy language to learn. Your effort to communicate in English is appreciated. The next few months you will look back at his and have a big laugh. :D :D :D Your English would have improved so much. :ex: :D :D :D

What a glorious sunrise! It almost seems to have a religious significance - and I'm a devout atheist. Excellent work, Joe. :tu: :tu: :tu:
And Frenchy - don't worry about your English. If the rest of us had to communicate here in French, it would either be a very small Forum, or you would be laughing your Gallic socks off (I hope that translates). Your art speaks for itself and your language conveys the necessary meaning just fine. :)
FC, the religious inferance was not intended :) but looking at it again, it does have a look of how we have been brain washed into believing one should look. To me it was a sky and sea practice. Anything else is a bonus :) :) :D :D

well I think its the yellow in the clouds that I like about this one...that is not a color I normally see in the sky here...very angelic feeling to it, like a battle was won and the good powers that be have prevailed and are shining thru....I like this one Joe. I also like the whisps of foam or white caps in the water...though i think its foam...nice experiment my friend :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
Hi Ron, what I was aiming for was a golden look as the sun shone through the clouds, but I think I got the tone wrong, anyway the exercise was a positive one, so for that I am satisfied.
Thank you all for your comments.
DeeVee,
Joe.
