Make human started out as a lonely blender python script.
Now after a couple of years of research and development they have released a stand alone version for us to use!
Works in Windows, Mac OSX, and X11 (linux,unix,bsd,etc..)
Now they have even added a Pose system!
anyways, you can realistically make a new human mesh in under about 10 minutes.
No modeling involved... you are just adding and removing morph targets...
YOu have the choice of everything from Male ,Female, infants /children, and even some Monster stuff.
If you know how to use blender 3d you can even make your own custom morph targets and starter mesh.
