Hello everybody,

I'm newbie to zBrush and this gonna be my first serious WIP.

At the moment I've got two problems with adding eyeballs that will be combined with the geometry wich means I want to add them and they should follow when I rotate the geometry in further modelling.

The second problem is placing the iris texture on a sphere without deforming. I got a photoshop-painted texture I want to use, but its horizontally deforming when I try to assign it to a sphere.

Maybe someone could link a few threads about this. My search results could'nt help me.

Welcome Macling,

Easiest way to do eyes in Zbrush I've found so far is Pixolator's Method (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000308).

To place them draw your head, Mark it. Draw and position an eyeball, and mark it. Snapshot the first eye and position it for the second, then mark it. Now you're ready to switch to the multimarker tool. Clear the canvas and draw with the multimarker tool. Your head and eyeballs should appear all together.

You can also make a Polymesh of the multimarker head to "weld" the eyes and the head into one mesh.

Don't forget to check the quicklinks section at the top right of this forum. There's tons of good stuff there.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Curious, thats helpfull. :tu:
Lots of nice links for painting iris textures.

But could somebody help me assign my already painted texture to a sphere without deforming?

These links might be helpful:

50'skid pop can (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=014044)

Pixolator texturing (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000124)

There might be easier ways too, but I'm still relatively new myself.

Why not not simply use Texture Master or Projection Master (demo version or commercial version of ZB)

Once again thanks, Curious! That should solve my problem. Next days I'll post an update! :tu:
