View Full Version : To Stonecutter... is this what you meant?
Thanks StoneCutter, explaining the ups and downs of the two skinning methods really helped me, I decided to play around with adaptive skins for a bit, using your method, add spheres, then preview etc...
I love this method (much more control).
Anyway, this is what I've come up with so far with adaptive skinning! :D
Zspheres (no skinning)

I understand that trying to make that using the unified method...wow, it would have taken me much longer to get those wings...
Thanks again SC :)

-=EDIT=-
BTW, everyone else may comment too! :)
looks real good.
how you get the wings shape was that after it was skinded?
Hi EZ,
about your question, thats only skinned, nothing else done to it.
if you look at the first pic, you'll notice the basic shape of the wings made with zspheres, okay...
Now when I had the basic layout of the wings, I set my membrane curve to 62 and my intersection resolution to 100, thats how I made those wings, everything was done with Zspheres in the adaptive skin method :)

Good wing design, Mr Z. I agree that adaptive process is much better than skinning right away. I can see I'm going to fail sooner ~L~ You'rs on the other hand, looks good.
EZ I just learned it tonight, no success yet like Mr Z has, but it's in the membrane control. Turn it up ~s~

BINGO, Shane...! :) :D
I knew you'd see it when you tried it...
I'm just about to post an update to my Trayn Of Thot bum, and I still haven't had to 'model' the way I think of it. If you move the ZSpheres carefully you can have a lot of control, as your fine modelling shows!
Way to go Bud!
 :tu: :tu: :tu:
And Deb, you don't HAVE to use unified skinning at all! You can get a pretty smooth result with Adaptive all the way...
I agree with you SC,
at first, when playing around with Zspheres, one tends to forget to be careful about where one places what (that was my case).
But when you really get bad creases, I've learn't that all it takes is either making the child Zsphere longer, or just moving it further apart etc...
I should have played and learn't that from the beginning, but ZBRUSH 1.51 is just sooo overwhelming!

P.S you know what I mean :D
thanks man...
i need to try that method..
i herd it twice today and never thought nothing about it
