Nice handling of materials.
I like the concept as well. Pretty cool!

My only thought would be to crop the black off the left hand side. It seems to stop the motion implied.

You know those Escher scenes that do things like start out as a fish on one side and turn into a bird by the time it reaches the other side? This reminds me a lot of that... and I LOVE Escher's work.

Which means that I think this one is great!

For what it's worth, I think Kathy's spot on with her suggestion. It also balances the scene a bit better.

Yeah, i like Escher a lot and wonder if that's where I kinda got the idea subconsciously.......kinda like his painting "Metamorphosis"..........I agree with both of you on the fluidity and movement and cutting off the left side, but was just looking it use it as a background for my desktop...it fits this way without cropping. Plus, I had no idea where this pic was going when I started it.......but, like I said, I agree with you both. Thx for the comments.........much appreciated.

yep, Escher's my favourite as well. he was the only reason I studied geometry at school, him being a famed mathematician...
which brings us to e-ffx's little first masterpiece;
